Restricted archives, destroyed contexts, institutional incentives and reputational pressure can narrow what becomes publicly legible. We investigate that narrowing. We do not treat the allegation itself as proof.
Research proposition
Flood traditions, abrupt landscape change and deep sediment are leads worth comparing with stratigraphy, paleohydrology and dated occupation—not automatic evidence of a single event.
Operating principle
